Faust Research Services LLC offers a tailored approach to research development for biomedical sciences. Whether you are an individual investigator just starting your laboratory or a chair looking to grow your departmental grant portfolio, the quest for external funding can be daunting. Current research administrative systems do not provide the proposal support that matters most. We can provide an individualized approach that takes into account individual needs or field-specific funding trends.

Faust Research Services offers a new way to think about research funding. I work with my clients to understand their unique situation, develop an individualized strategy for proposal submissions, and support them during the planning and submission stages. I identify the right funding agencies for individual projects, assemble research teams that can execute the proposed work, help draft a clear and exciting research narrative, and collaborate with both the faculty and the administrative teams for a seamless and painless submission.

Alma Zecevic Faust PhD

Alma Zecevic Faust PhD has 11 years of experience in Research Development. She has worked as a Research Development Specialist (RDS) for MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston Methodist, and University of Illinois at Chicago. She holds a doctoral degree in Medical Sciences from Brown University and was a postdoctoral fellow in Experimental Therapeutics at MD Anderson Cancer Center. 

She has assisted her institutions in securing over 50 million dollars in external research funding, including individual, multi-PI, program, center, and training grants. Her experience spans the National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Radiological Society of North America, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, The American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Obesity Society, among many others.

Proposal Development

I offer a full range of proposal development services which include idea development, identification of funding opportunities, budgeting, drafting of original proposal, figure assembly, supporting documentation, team coordination, and submission coordination.

Scientific Editing

Standard scientific editing services including proofreading and content evaluation. This is a less involved process that may be ideal for already written proposals.

Workshops and Training

Workshops include a lecture-based section and an active portion that will help participants put in practice the presented methods. Every workshop is tailored to the needs of our audience. Workshops also include one-on-one 30-minute meetings with up to 10 participants that can be used to discuss their individualized funding strategy.
